BIOGRAPHY

Leroy from the North, an LA-based, Americana/rock band, could best be described as a velour track suit with a Cowboy hat. Influenced by the sounds of ’70s country gold, mixed with a little Detroit steel, Leroy is just a short dune buggy ride away from the nearest YMCA or above-ground pool. Before launching the power trio in Los Angeles, frontman Eli Wulfmeier grew up in Michigan, raised on the sounds of Humble Pie and Free. He headed to California during his 20s, laying the foundation for his own band while establishing himself as a go-to guitarist for acts like Shelby Lynne, Sam Morrow, and Nikki Lane. Filled with sharp songwriting and rhythmic stomp, 2023’s “Toughen Up” found him nodding to his roots as a Motor City rocker who’d found a new home in California’s country community. Two years later, “My Favorite Gun,” released in January of 2026, set its sights on a new horizon. This time, Wulfmeier and his longtime bandmates — drummer Jason Ganberg and bassist Adam Arcos — aren’t focused on where they came from. They’re more interested in where they’re headed next.

PRESS

Toughen Up, Leroy From The North’s full-length debut, is a soundtrack for road trips with the radio cranked high, the FM dial caught somewhere between the country and classic rock stations, the sounds from both channels bleeding together into some new frequency. Devious Planet
